(CNN) -- March 11, 2004 - 311 Day.
In
the news today, the Banzai Maps community is in an uproar. Newcomers to
the community are pushing the old-timers to keep up with the times by
using a program called mIRC.
This
program is said to be a chat room of sorts, in which the community can
sit in and never talk. The alleged pushers of this program say it will
'enhance the community by giving them a place to hang out and chat
whenever they feel like it.'
Some
Banzai vets say IRC won't enhance the community at all, though. "Most
people won't even use the program either way, so don't even waste your
money," says one veteran, the same who posted this news, actually.
This
battle is expected to go on for the next couple of weeks at the
minimum. Keep checking CNN.com for updates on this breaking story.
